Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

We collect as little personal information as we need, we use it to run SorenPay and meet the law, and we never sell it. This policy explains the details.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Sorenpay LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("SorenPay", "we", "us"), handles personal information about people who visit sorenpay.com or demo.sorenpay.com, join our early-bird list, use our demo or documentation, contact us, or act for a business that does any of these.

SorenPay is pre-launch. When live accounts open, we will update this policy and give account applicants any additional privacy notice the law requires, including the notice required for financial institutions under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act where it applies.

2. What we collect

Information you give us.

  • Early-bird list: your email address, whether you are interested as a person or a business, and which of our sites you signed up on.
  • Demo accounts: your name, email address, sign-in details and any business details you enter. If you use a password, it passes through our servers only to be checked by our sign-in provider; we never store or log it.
  • Messages: what you write to us by email or through the Site, and your contact details.
  • Identity checks: if you apply for an account, or go through the identity check in the demo, we and our identity verification provider collect what that check asks for, which can include your name, date of birth, address, government ID number, a photo of your ID and a selfie. In the demo, please use test data.

Information collected automatically.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and the time and page of each request, used to run and secure the Site, limit abuse and fix errors.
  • Usage data: which pages and features are used. Our analytics run without cookies or persistent identifiers, with session recording and automatic capture of what you type turned off. Page addresses are stripped of query strings and account identifiers before they are sent.

We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account credentials through the Site today.

3. How we use it

  • To run the early-bird list and email you about SorenPay's launch and how to apply.
  • To provide and improve the Site, the demo and our documentation.
  • To answer your questions and requests.
  • To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
  • To verify identity and screen against sanctions lists when someone applies for an account, as anti-money-laundering and sanctions laws require.
  • To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only what the Site needs to work. When you sign in to the demo, a secure session cookie keeps you signed in. A few settings are kept in your own browser: your light or dark theme choice, which currency accounts the demo dashboard shows (in a preference cookie), and any sandbox API keys you create in the demo. Our analytics do not set cookies.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but signing in to the demo will not work without the session cookie.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers that run parts of the Site for us, such as hosting, databases, sign-in, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring and identity verification. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Partner banks and payment providers, if you apply for an account, so they can review and open it.
  • Authorities, regulators and others where the law requires it, or where needed to protect the rights, safety or property of SorenPay, our users or others.
  • A buyer or successor if SorenPay is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • Anyone else with your consent.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. How long we keep it

  • Early-bird list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, or the list is no longer needed.
  • Demo accounts: until the demo account is deleted or the demo is reset.
  • Technical logs: for a limited period needed for security and fixing errors.
  • Identity verification and account records: as long as anti-money-laundering and other laws require, usually at least five years.

7. Security

We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to the people who need it, and logging of access to sensitive systems. No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, please tell us at security@sorenpay.com.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in each email.
  • You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, and to correct, delete or give you a copy of it, by writing to privacy@sorenpay.com.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, California or another U.S. state with a privacy law, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict some uses, to appeal a decision on your request, or to complain to your data protection authority. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows.

We will verify your request and answer within the time the law requires. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, such as identity verification records. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

If the European or UK data protection laws apply to you: we process your information to take steps you ask for (such as joining the list or using the demo), for our legitimate interests in running and securing the Site, to meet legal obligations, and with your consent where we ask for it.

9. Where your information is processed

SorenPay is based in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. Children

The Site is for adults and businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact privacy@sorenpay.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will also tell you by email where we have your address. See also our Terms of Service.
